Jobmatix Privacy Statement

With the Jobmatix job board software, we aim to assist you in running a fully functional and professional job board. This allows you to register, among other things, to find work and apply for vacancies. In doing so, privacy-sensitive data, or personal data, is processed. Jobmatix NL B.V. is the publisher of the Jobmatix job board software (which is used by our partners under their own name and logo), and we consider the careful handling of personal data to be important. Jobmatix NL B.V. is the data controller. In this privacy statement, we explain which personal data we collect and use, and for what purpose. We recommend that you read this carefully. Read our privacy statement and learn about your privacy rights here.

Use of Personal Data

By using our services, you leave certain data with us. This may include personal data. We exclusively store and use personal data that is provided directly by you or that is clearly indicated as being provided to us for processing. In addition to information posted via the Jobmatix website or application(s), this is also the case, for example, when you respond to an email from an employer sent via Jobmatix. In our processing, we comply with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act. Read here which personal data we process, why, and how long we retain this data.

Disclosure to Third Parties

Jobmatix may offer employers or recruiters the opportunity to search specifically for candidates and job seekers within a profile of their choice. However, we will never share your contact details and personal data with them in an unanonymized form without your consent. We only share your data further without explicit consent: with the parties involved in the provision of our services; and if legally required, we will make your data available to the competent authorities. In the event of suspected fraud or misuse of our website, we may hand over personal data to the competent authorities. If necessary for the provision of our services, we may provide data to companies established in one of the EU Member States. No data is sent to companies established in countries outside the EU if these countries do not offer an adequate level of protection. Read here with which sub-processors we collaborate.

Registration

To make proper use of our service, you must register. After registration, we store your login details (email address) and the personal data you provide. We store this data so that you do not have to re-enter it every time, for the purpose of providing (additional) services, to enable us to provide you with (relevant) information, and for research purposes. When registering as an individual, Jobmatix requests personal data, including, but not limited to, your name, contact details, and information regarding work experience and completed education. The provider is obliged to ensure that the correct data is provided. When registering as an organization, Jobmatix requests information regarding the organization in addition to various personal data. During your use of Jobmatix, we also keep track of all data regarding job applications submitted via Jobmatix, as well as all other choices, actions, preferences, and interests as expressed, whether explicitly or implicitly. We do not publish your data unless you give us separate explicit permission to do so. Therefore, third parties such as Google cannot simply access this data.

Click Behavior

General visitor data is tracked on the website. In this context, specifically the IP address of your computer, any username, the time of the request, and data sent by the visitor’s browser may be recorded and used for statistical analyses of visitor and click behavior on the website. We also use this to optimize the functioning of the website and to use this data to support our users and detect abuse. We use Google Analytics to track how users use the Website and how users find and visit us. The information thus obtained, including the address of your computer (IP address), is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in Europe and/or the United States.

Use of cookies

To optimize Jobmatix, a limited number of cookies are placed on the user’s computer by Jobmatix, as well as by, for example, Google Analytics. Both session cookies and persistent cookies are used. These are safe, do not collect private data, remain on the user’s computer, and have a limited validity period. Cookies are primarily used for the proper functioning of Jobmatix, optimal ease of use, and to analyze and improve the use of the Jobmatix website.

Third-party websites

This privacy statement does not apply to third-party websites referred to from Jobmatix, or that refer to Jobmatix. We cannot guarantee that these third parties handle your personal data in a reliable and/or secure manner. We recommend that you read the privacy statement of these websites before using them. This also applies to social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+ on which you can communicate about and/or with us.

Security

We take security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to personal data. To this end, we maintain log files and statistics on our website, through which we may also view individual data. However, we do this only to the extent necessary for security and the other purposes mentioned in this statement.

Changes to this privacy statement

We reserve the right to make changes to this statement. It is recommended that you consult this statement regularly so that you are aware of these changes. This privacy statement was last updated on 25 May 2018.
