On 6 February Jobmatix launched its recruitment marketing platform, the successor to our job marketing tool. Managing Partners Wiebe Mulder and Peter Woudenberg were interviewed by Recruitmenttech.nl. Read the full interview
With a brand-new all-in-one platform, Jobmatix shifts the focus from job marketing to a holistic approach to recruitment marketing. ‘This platform enables organisations to automate recruitment marketing, without deep knowledge or experience’, say Peter Woudenberg and Wiebe Mulder.
Connecting talent and organisations
A new name, more international partners and a new member of the board: the world of Jobmatix has not stood still for some time. “Our mission is to make recruitment marketing accessible to every organisation”, says Wiebe Mulder, who founded the company in 2016. “We aim to simplify and automate it, so that every organisation can reach and engage the right talent effectively. We want to take away the complexity of recruitment marketing, so that not only organisations with large budgets but everyone can benefit from it.”
A new platform
It now does that with a new all-in-one platform, developed specifically for recruitment marketing. “If you work with several tools, you have to understand and manage all of them”, says Peter Woudenberg, who joined in 2023 as partner and director of marketing, strategy and product. “Often those tools do not work together, which makes it unnecessarily complex and time-consuming. We make sure organisations can manage and automate recruitment marketing, so they can steer the whole funnel with the right insights.”
Our transformation into an all-in-one recruitment marketing platform fits seamlessly with our mission to make recruitment marketing more accessible.
“Our transformation into an all-in-one recruitment marketing platform fits seamlessly with our mission to make recruitment marketing more accessible. This platform enables organisations to automate recruitment marketing without deep knowledge or experience. It integrates our core functionality of programmatic advertising on job boards, but extends it with additional modules and features, which means we offer a complete platform technology.”
Classified job data
The platform is built on four important pillars: job data, smart automations, campaigns and data insights. “We deliver high-quality job data by loading, enriching and classifying vacancies automatically”, says Woudenberg. “We use AI, machine learning and international data standards to do this, which lets us make sure every vacancy meets all the requirements of online channels.”
Smart automations
The platform then uses an automation layer. “We apply smart automations to make sure vacancies can be enriched automatically with personalised content, such as adding a teaser. The teaser is action-oriented and increases the chance that a visitor is triggered to read the vacancy. You can also set specific rules for advertising vacancies. For example, that if a vacancy has been advertised for more than 7 days and has spent more than €50 without receiving applications, the advert is stopped automatically.”
More powerful campaigns
With origins as a job marketing specialist, ‘campaigns’ are the logical third building block. “Our programmatic job advertising platform is of course part of the system too, but we are going to offer much deeper campaigns”, says Mulder. “On niche channels as well, for example. We are really diving into every channel, so that alongside the active audience you also reach the latent audience and are therefore more visible higher up the funnel. That forms the third building block: our campaigns. And through automation the campaigns are largely steered automatically too.”
Data insights
For the fourth and last building block, an old Dutch saying applies: to measure is to know. With data insights, Jobmatix wants to make the whole funnel measurable. “Customers can now see in our platform which channel performed best and what they paid for an application”, says Woudenberg.
We have started connecting Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), so that we give insight not only up to the application, but up to the hire.
“Now we are going a step further still. We have started connecting Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), so that we give insight not only up to the application, but up to the hire. That means you see in our platform which channel contributed to the placement of a candidate.”
An even greater impact
In the end it should all contribute to an even greater impact for the whole recruitment sector, Mulder believes. “While our current tool is already unique in letting you advertise on more than twenty performance job boards in only a few steps, streamlining things the way our platform does could have a transformative impact on how organisations recruit and engage talent, both for our customers and for the market.”
The impact is so great that every organisation can use recruitment marketing simply and effectively.
And it is above all the smaller organisations that can benefit from that, Woudenberg argues. “Large organisations with a higher available budget can often cover the market comprehensively. Smaller organisations can do that less easily; we expect they will now be able to do it more easily. So the impact of that is so great that every organisation can use recruitment marketing simply and effectively”
International ambitions
Jobmatix ultimately wants to do that for organisations right across Europe. “We want to expand beyond the Dutch borders”, says Mulder. “The Netherlands is one of the front-runners in recruitment marketing. At European level there is still a lot to gain, then. We already work successfully with various organisations outside the Netherlands. Our plan includes setting up the first foreign hubs this year.”
Free demos and webinars
For organisations in the Netherlands or abroad who are interested in the new platform, Jobmatix organises a range of training sessions and webinars. “For our existing customers we provide a smooth transition to the platform, including training for effective use. New organisations we invite to a no-obligation demo, in which we explain Jobmatix and the functionality of our platform in detail. In Q2 we are also starting a Jobmatix Academy, to support organisations in growing their knowledge within recruitment marketing.”
“We also offer an easy way to get to know our recruitment marketing platform during a webinar. In that session we discuss the future of recruitment marketing automation and give insight into the possibilities of our platform. Participants get the chance to ask questions live.”
